That’s why we created Mobile Filmmaking, an online cohort to help you create professional-quality films with just a smartphone.
With a blend of deep industry experience and a shared love for teaching, our team is here to make filmmaking feel possible, and exciting, for all skill levels. Josh brings hands-on expertise working with top content creators, filmmakers, and creatives spanning brand campaigns with Toyota, Long Beach Walls, Insomniac, Liquid Death, Monster, and more. Stefaniya is an award-winning filmmaker with work featured at Palm Springs International Film Festival, Short of the Week, and Vimeo Staff Picks. She currently works as a Post-Producer with clients like Amazon and Sony.

OUR STORYÂ
It all started with a feeling - something had to change.
We were both living lives that looked “successful” from the outside, but inside, we felt creatively disconnected and unfulfilled. For Stefaniya, years of working in film had led to accolades and high-profile projects with Amazon and Sony - but the spark that once fueled her art was fading. She felt like she was just going through the motions, no longer connected to the heart of her work.
Josh had spent over a decade in real estate before pivoting into creative direction and brand partnerships. He helped artists bring their visions to life and filmed content himself - but still felt stuck in systems that didn’t reflect his deeper purpose. He was ready for more, but didn’t know where to direct his energy.
As the world slowed down in 2020, we hit our personal low points. For Stefaniya, it was a long stretch of creative paralysis layered with financial and emotional weight. For Josh, COVID amplified the disconnection he already felt. Both of us were questioning everything: Is this it? Is this all there is?
That’s when things began to shift.
Stefaniya joined a book club centered around The Artist’s Way, reconnecting with herself through journaling and reflection. Josh had a powerful conversation with his mom that helped him clarify what mattered and from that, he created a video titled “Take the Leap of Faith,” which became both a message and a mission.
Through conversations, creative work, and shared vision, we realized something powerful: what helped us through the darkest parts of our journeys was returning to creativity and we wanted to help others do the same.
That’s why we built Mobile Filmmaking a hands-on, community-driven course for beginners and aspiring creators to build their skills, express their voice, and create work they’re proud of, using just their smartphones. No fancy gear. No complicated process. Just powerful, accessible tools and the guidance to bring stories to life.
With our combined backgrounds in film production, content creation, and teaching, we make the process simple, playful, and transformational. Whether you’re filming your first video or rediscovering your creative spark, we’re here to walk beside you.
